Have you ever felt low after seeing/reading something on social media?
Did you ever feel the hatred messages that you saw on your favourite celebrity’s post hurt you too?
Does your smartphone contain images you never open, audios that you are never gonna listen to, and apps that you aren’t planning to open any soon?
I’m gonna tell you that you need to start putting filters to everything you see and hear. Put your mind’s strongest filter by deciding to consciously choose the positive and healthy matters only.
Detox does apply for body, mind, space, society, and even social media.
1. Detox your space
Make sure the space you live, the space you work are clutter free, dust free and dirt free.
Remove all the clutter that are visible to your eyes.
Make sure to open the windows to allow sunlight and natural air come in.
2. Detox your smartphone
The videos, images, and audios that you will never even be interested to listen are hanging out there in your phone memory?
Say a simple good bye to them by clearing that clutter.
Also, remove the apps that you haven’t used in the last 6 months and you know you are never gonna use them again.
3. Detox your Social Media
Choose what do you want to see on social media. Stay away from things/people that make you feel low. You can choose to unfollow everything that makes you sick.
4. Detox your body
For this, you need not follow any complicated practice. Just start avoiding refined, highly processed and deep fried foods. Make sure that you eat right.
Very importantly, include whole grains, fruits and vegetables so that you promote your health by keeping small steps towards, nature friendly, environment friendly clean eating.
Next time when you pick a cookie package from the store, read the ingredient labels. I’m sure you won’t buy it.
5. Detox your mind
Consciously choose what you want to feed your mind. That means, choose to watch only things that are positive, like humor and inspiring talks. Avoid watching and listening to any kind of violence/hatred. This is going to be one of the greatest gifts that you can give to yourself.
Meditate, exercise, smile, care yourself, learn something new and feel good.
Clutter-free, clean space and clean smartphones are just the need of the hour. It’s a small help to keep one’s mind clear.
